Caring for your Gels!

June 27, 2017

So you have just been pampered, your nails are looking new and shiny so now you need to take care of them. It is important that we are not constantly paranoid about what we are doing however it is important we are conscious of how we take care of our lovely new nails, so here is some tips from Bellissima Beauty

  • Wear gloves when carrying out any washing up, or cleaning especially if it involves use of bleaches or detergents

  • Chlorinated water and excessive sun can cause damage to your nails, I do advise not to go swimming for 24 hours after your manicure

  • Using Solar oil/cuticle oil twice daily, especially before bed, will keep your natural nails and the skin surrounding it nice and healthy, which can prolong the life of your Gel nails

  • Don not pick, bite or file your nails as this can cause breakage to the seal and

  • PLEASE DO NOT USE YOUR NAILS AS TOOLS, even finding the end of sellotape and clingfilm are to blame for a lot of manicure mishaps

Please remember that incorrect removal of gel can damage your nail bed, I can remove them safely for you, please contact me should you wish to have them removed and this can be with or with out re application.
